Haven Women's Center

Victims of domestic violence often are not aware of what options and resources are available to them that may help them and their children start to recover from the trauma they have experienced. Case managers can help clients start to empower themselves by helping them identify their needs, prioritize these needs and help clients develop a plan to actualize there goals to meet these needs.

Case managers can:

  • Safety Plan-Help client develop a plan for increasing safety. Immediate safety and
    future safety.
  • Legal Advocate- Assist clients through the criminal or civil court process’s
  • Housing and income- Help client explore and develop a strategy for their housing and income needs.
  • Information and Referral- Case Managers can assist with referrals and information
    for a variety of needs.
  • Advocacy- Assist clients with other agencies to help get clients needs meet.
  • Goal Setting-Case managers can assist clients define what is needed for them to empower themselves and take back control of their lives.
