The Airport Community Project strives to end the cycle of violence in the Airport neighborhood through Education, Support, Choices, and Referrals

The Airport Community Against Violence Project is a collaborative non-profit community service organization.
The primary goal of the project is to end the cycle of violence in the Airport Neighborhood. We work to educate residents about domestic violence, including their perceptions, acceptance, knowledge of resources, and myths of domestic violence.
The following are the services provided:

Kids Count!: An 8 week violence awareness program designed for children 8-12 offered at Lighthouse Church and Orville Wright School.

Teens Count!: A domestic violence awareness program designed for teens ages 13-18.

Kids Count Plus!: An 8 week anger management curriculum specifically for students needing positive direction.

Community Education Meetings: Quarterly meetings providing information on topics relevant to the community.

Women’s Issues Group: A group of supportive women, peers, and friends to discus self esteem, depression, stress, and other issues.

Crisis Intervention: Assistance for walk-in or telephone clients. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
